I’m with you on that.
The whole thing—this so-called "music"—is just unlistenable to me.
And don't even get me started on the music videos. It’s become a total joke. Like you said—just throw on some skimpy dress, grab some heels, and dance around with an umbrella!
Where did the actual message go? Where’s the storytelling in the visuals? Gone. Just gone.
Concerts aren't all bad—honestly, I’d give anything to be shoved around in a crowd at a Guns N' Roses show!
looool 😂
Hehe, sorry—yeah, you did seem a bit older to me!! (but in a good way 😁 )
I also listen to the kind of music my parents dig—though not all of it. Some stuff is just unlistenable!! haha
Napkins? —Never. haha
Man, I was just out right now. Listening to Rihanna and her umbrella umbrella umbrella!!
😵
Heh... there’s nothing funny about it. I’m still young—even if saying that sounds ridiculous 😂. At fifteen, I’m already obsessed with vintage sounds!! It is sooo hard to stay relevant!!! haha
I grew up with my dad's vinyl collection and old tapes, and people still roll their eyes when they see my box of cassettes!!! Let them laugh... I know what I like. And yeah, I guess I missed the era entirely!!! Every artist I listen to is either dead or long retired!! 😁 Getting tickets to see them live is impossible!!! 🙂
Music is dying.
It’s a sad reality—musicians just can't make a living anymore. Everything hits the internet before an album even officially drops. Nobody buys physical media; there's zero thrill in going down to a local record store to hunt for a vinyl or a CD—that era is dead. You just hop online and grab whatever you want. They can't survive on streams alone. Touring is the only way left to pull in cash, but even that has become purely commercialized. From Rihanna to 50 Cent, it’s all just hollow noise. Music lacks substance now. To my great disappointment, the days when music actually meant something—when it could move people or even influence politics—are gone. The '60s, '70s, '80s, and the early '90s... that was the golden age of timeless classics. Now? Nothing like that exists. People find it too much effort to sit through a masterpiece like November Rain—they claim the solo is too long or they don't like the guitar tone because they prefer "modern" sounds. At least, that's what my friends tell me. We live in an era of computerized music, and frankly, I hate that I was born into it. I feel like I missed the boat entirely. 😠
