Yeah, but you missed quoting the full sentence there. I’m with you on this, though.
Every home should have an instrument and actually be played.

Music itself is immortal. It’s one of those things that just won't die. But modern music? Today's hits are 100% mortal. They're number one on the charts for a week, and then they vanish into thin air, never to be heard from again.
Only the ones with the deepest pockets actually make it.
Unfortunately, it's all about the bank account, not the actual quality of the sound.
Nowadays, anyone can claim to be a musician just by tapping a few keys on a laptop, forming a "band," and flooding the market. It just clutters everything up and drowns out the real acts...
I've stopped going to local club shows featuring demo bands because they're all equally mediocre, and I end up missing the one real band that actually matters. Bands have become nothing more than statistics. It's impossible to find the real deal among billions of pretenders who all think they're the next big thing and expect you to care about their latest track. When there's this much noise, uniqueness and value just evaporate.
It's true that piracy absolutely guts artists, and let's be honest, nobody makes real money from album sales anymore, even though the industry pulls in massive profits. We're all complicit in that. Trying to break through in a sea of billions is a nightmare; it's just a disgusting statistic, a cosmic-level cycle of plagiarism. To actually get noticed, you either need serious capital to burn or you have to be born under a lucky star... or maybe sell your soul to the devil, right 🙂?
Dear musicians: just go to college and earn less than a waiter.
