AST, CRP?

Whenever I try to use my non-dominant hand—whether I’m lifting weights at the gym or just moving something heavy around the house—I feel this sharp pain right in the joint, and suddenly, this bump appears here at the bottom shown in the photo

It feels like a thickening at the joint, almost as if a piece of bone is trying to push its way out through the skin; I'm having a hard time even describing it. When it flares up, my thumb starts twisting uncontrollably, and honestly, I can't even grip anything without intense pain, let alone lift anything substantial. I actually dealt with a similar issue on my right hand about four months ago, but that was just a simple cyst on the wrist, though in a different spot. Now I'm starting to worry that maybe there's a cyst here pressing against a nerve, but I'm not entirely convinced because this feels much harder, more like actual bone. Does anyone have any insight into what this might be?
