Or just check with FedEx; they have a major hub right here in New York City near the outskirts.

I actually looked into air freight myself, and honestly, the quotes I got were absolutely ridiculous. As for FedEx, even though I see their trucks passing my house every single day, it never even crossed my mind to actually walk in and ask them for a rate. Thanks anyway, but I'll pass.

Has anyone here actually dealt with shipping packages from the US back home? I mean, sure, you can just walk into a local post office here in the States and send something off—easy enough, right? Ha! The problem is I went on a massive shopping spree and picked up so many cool things that I’m genuinely heartbroken about leaving them behind. There's way too much stuff to fit into the two carry-on bags I'm allowed on my flight. I checked out the post office, but their rates are absolutely ridiculous. Then I looked into shipping via sea freight—at least from what I could dig up—and they let you send a box of a certain size, which is honestly way bigger than what I need. I guess I could just leave it half-empty, but even then, the cost is pretty steep.
So, if anyone knows a cheaper hack or a better way to get a package from the US over to Europe, please let me know.
