Dealing with venous ulcers/leg ulcers

I was wondering if anyone else here has gone through the ringer dealing with this kind of illness? My husband survived a nasty deep vein thrombosis, and because his circulation in his legs just isn't what it used to be, he ended up developing an ulcer on his left leg... it’s been a constant battle for about eight years now, with some good stretches and then these really rough patches, like right now where the wound is open and he’s having a hard time walking 😢
