Alright, I'm heading over to IMDb right now. Honestly, this could be my plan for tonight. It turns out this McConaughey guy is actually quite the revelation...
To be honest, I used to think McConaughey was one of the most underwhelming actors out there—not just in terms of his presence, but just how he carries himself on screen. Then I caught Wolf of Wall Street and realized he was actually the highlight of the whole thing, even though his role was pretty minor
Then I watched Dallas Buyers Club, and everything changed... the film itself, his performance, the whole vibe, it all just blew me away
And then, the icing on the cake, True Detective
I have to say, McConaughey is easily my biggest surprise of the year, and Dallas Buyers Club is genuinely a phenomenal film
I usually enjoy diving into post-apocalyptic flicks, "save the planet" scenarios, or those big meteor and comet disaster movies... you know, when I'm in the right mood, that kind of stuff really hits the spot. But this? This just looks like pure desperation. 😛
Movies don't actually change who I am; I just happen to see pieces of myself reflected in certain ones 😁
