He ran it for over two hours yesterday, then I threw a two-and-a-half-hour torture test at it, and everything held up just fine. So, I guess this is pretty much the ceiling you're looking at if you're sticking with the stock cooler.😠I mean, damn, I was really hoping for something a bit more impressive, but honestly, I can’t deny that there is a noticeable difference here.👍

Dropped the FSB down to 230
CPU voltage is sitting at 1.40
FSB/DRAM ratio is set to 9/10
Memory voltage is at 2.6v
LDT/FSB frequency ratio is x4(920)
Idle temps are looking pretty solid, hovering between 25-28C
I'm gonna fire up a game later this afternoon and see how it holds up, then I'll let you guys know how it goes☕

I actually bumped the voltage on my RAM from 2.6 up to 2.7 myself, and now when I'm running Everest, the CPU temperatures are somehow showing up lower than the actual core temps—it's reading somewhere around 35-37 degrees while the cores are sitting at 38-42. Honestly, who knows what's going on there.

Across all the stress tests and even while I was actually gaming, it barely topped out at 41°C.

I’m looking for a little guidance here because I’m a total newbie when it comes to overclocking. After spending way too much time falling down internet rabbit holes and soaking up all the info I could find, I finally decided to push my PC a bit harder—I mean, games just aren't getting any easier on hardware lately. I thought I was being pretty thorough about it, too; I kept a close eye on the FSB, memory settings, the FSB:DRAM ratio, the LDT/FSB frequency ratio, and both the memory voltage and the CPU voltage (which I bumped up slightly by about 4% since it was running cool at stock). I also tweaked the latencies, messed with the RC (if I'm remembering that calculation right, it's the sum of the last two latencies?), set the CR to 1T, and ran some stability tests. I did a full Super Pi 32M and let Prime95 run for a couple of hours to stress the RAM. Everything seemed perfectly fine until I actually sat down to play a game. It runs great for about three hours and then—bam—total system freeze. I’ve attached the screenshots below, so if anyone could take a look and tell me where I went wrong, I’d really appreciate it. My board is a DFI LanParty UT Ultra DN NF4. Thanks in advance! 😍

I think you might have missed a bit of the fine print here: "The results were nothing short of amazing, as I was able to reach 2.8 GHz on the standard 1.4v voltage and with standard Intel air cooling."😲 😬

I was wondering, though... if I end up dialing back the memory frequency, am I going to see a dip in performance while gaming or just during heavy workloads? Or is there a chance that the increased bus bandwidth might actually balance things out and give me a little boost? I’ve got this DFI Lan Party UT NF4 Ultra-D setup running an Intel Athlon 3200
with some Kingmax 433MHz sticks
and I had a quick question😕. Right now, my multiplier is sitting at x10, and I’ve bumped the FSB up to 220, which means my memory is currently clocked at 220 (so, 440 effective). I was wondering if I pushed the FSB even higher, would the whole system just fall apart because I'd be outrunning the RAM? Basically, is it time to start playing around with the FSB/DRAM ratio, or should I just focus on bumping up the memory voltage instead? 🙂
