Best rafting trips in the US? in Other Sports ·
That’d be me.
Everyone keeps hyping it up like it’s some world-class destination in the States, but honestly? It’s a total joke.

The only part actually worth your time is that narrow gorge area near the entrance—once you hit that, it's just endless paddling and splashing around. If you looked at any travel brochure, every single photo was taken right there at the gorge.

It’s a decent little trip, sure, but don't believe the hype about white-water rafting; there isn't any real action. My advice? Grab some neoprene shorts and water shoes, and for heaven's sake, pack plenty of booze for the boat. Trust me on this one... it’s way more fun when everyone in the raft is completely hammered.😉
2004 rally USA in Other Sports ·
Petter Solberg driving the Impreza is my absolute number one favorite...
It’s such a damn shame his battery died and he couldn't get the car started, and having to rely on the fans to jump-start him? Just brutal. Honestly, if he hadn't been hit with that five-minute penalty, he would've taken first place by over two minutes easy.
As for the media coverage of the rally, it’s not like people aren't watching. It’s just that the local crew here doesn't follow it, which is honestly a relief for me. I'd much rather skip the "expert" analysis you hear in American bars from some gambling idiot who doesn't know a piston from a spark plug.

I'm really curious how that Fabia would handle once it hits the track in Greece...
I live and breathe rally. Man, this sport totally hooked me about ten years ago...
Monte Carlo—Sebastian Vettel was the obvious pick there.
Sweden—but then Sebastian Vettel actually pulled it off, which caught everyone off guard.
March 12th marks the Mexico rally—new dates, new terrain, we'll just have to see how it plays out.
I’ve got a soft spot for Toyota, and honestly, I'm just waiting for Travis Pastrana to go absolutely mental behind the wheel. But man, the competition this year is brutal. You've got Martin Short, Sebastian Vettel, and Gronholm all tearing it up in those new Fords—people are saying they're way better than the old 206 models, which were already championship winners. Then there's Panizzi in the Mitsubishi, plus a whole bunch of hungry young drivers looking to make a name for themselves.
Pure entertainment.
