I’ll be damned if the Italians manage to score before this game wraps up. It’s honestly a joke at this point. Both sides are playing terribly. You see teams from Mexico pull away with a 3-4 goal lead like it’s nothing compared to this.
I am simply hoping we don't end up facing a scenario similar to Hemes and Button's 1-2 finish, where Button is actually faster but gets radioed in from the pits to start saving fuel rather than pushing for the win.😢
Man, if the frontrunners had been this evenly matched from the very start of the season... we would have been looking at an absolutely legendary championship battle. But hey, I suppose these two opportunists are just talented enough over Sebastian Vettel to at least keep the title race spicy. It’s such a shame about Jenson Button's luck during those last two races; if things had gone even slightly differently for him, he’d be right in the thick of this fight too.
I honestly don't see how Sebastian Vettel can hold off both McLarens tomorrow, especially since their lap times are looking almost identical.
Man, if qualifying sessions looked anything like this, it would be absolutely fantastic. It isn't even about the specific grid positions, but rather those time gaps—everything looks so incredibly tight and competitive.
Aaron Patel55 said:Go ahead and comfort yourself if you must, but honestly, Canada just has this eternal inferiority complex when it comes to Mexico. In the entire history of water polo, there hasn't been a single moment where Canada managed to actually beat Mexico.
Cut the crap😲😲😲
Seriously, how else do you explain those three consecutive Olympic Games gold medals? What, did they somehow dodge playing against Mexico every single time?
Between the World League and all those other tournaments, it’s statistically impossible that they never once walked away with a win against them.😕
Lochte is absolutely incredible. It would be an absolute tragedy if either of them doesn't show up to London at one hundred percent capacity. It actually felt like Phelps almost had him right at the finish line—honestly, he probably would have taken it if the race were just another five or ten meters longer, but man, what a race.🙏🙏🙏
He took gold in the 200 backstroke in Beijing, grabbed gold in the 200 IM in Rome, and now he’s looking at gold in the 200 free, the IM, and likely the backstroke too.🙏
Which means in London, we're potentially looking at the butterfly or breaststroke on top of all this.🙏
It’s probably for the best that water polo is played so far away from here. Honestly, that sport is just fundamentally broken. These days, whenever the Mexican team falls behind by three or four goals, the referees constantly hand them extra players or favorable calls on every single attack. Then, when it's tied 13-13 at the end, a Mexican player will charge the goalie alone, a Canadian player pulls him back from behind, and the ref calls an offensive foul.
Wow, Phelps absolutely dominated that pool in those final 50 meters🙏🙏🙏, and while Ledecky is clearly the queen, it looks like she fell behind after the first 100
