northerncrane33 As if I haven't heard this before...
So, you're sitting there with a GTS running on 340MB... I guess that’s one way to do things, though I'm not entirely sure how you expect that to hold up under any real pressure. Maybe it works for you, but it seems a bit thin to me.😂
Everything seems perfectly fine until you realize the temperature has climbed north of 140°F...
I mean, seriously... why? 😕
I suppose someone's feeling particularly edgy today. Typical. 😂
So, I have a bit of a question here: I’ve been pushing my old Pentium 4 processor on an aging rig, managed to bump it up from the stock 2.53GHz to about 3.04GHz. Right now, it seems to hit a ceiling at 3800MHz, and the temps are hovering somewhere around the 50-55°C range, though I haven't touched the voltage yet.
Given that, what do you guys think the absolute limit might be if I don't mess with the cooling setup—which is just the standard stock cooler—or crank up the voltage? I'm honestly a little worried it might just hang or crash if I push too hard.
The motherboard is a P4PE, running a 19x multiplier with a 160mhz FSB.
