Overclocking (Main Thread)

Hey everyone,
I’ve been spinning my wheels for about a week now trying to hammer out a solid build, but I just can’t seem to pull the trigger because I’m second-guessing everything....
So, I guess I could really use some input from you guys...
1. Graphics: What’s actually the smart move here? Should I grab an 8800GTX, maybe try two 8800GTs in SLI, or go with dual 3870s in Crossfire? Or, I don't know, should I just wait for the 3870x2 or those new NVIDIA cards?
2. Is the SM 2232 BW a decent match for these GPUs? I mean, is it even worth upgrading to a bigger monitor?
3. Will this HDD Seagate ST3500320AS, 500 GB 32MB, S-ATA300, NCQ-II, 7200 hold up as my main drive? Or am I crazy if I don't just spring for a Raptor?
4. Which motherboard would you suggest depending on which GPU I pick? And what kind of power supply am I looking at?
5. Vista 64-bit? I guess there are pros and cons, but what are they actually like?
6. Are those Terratec TV tuner cards any good, or is it a waste?
7. Has the HD3870x2 landed yet? If it has, which stores actually have it in stock? And does anyone know when that new GeForce 9800 is hitting the shelves?
