Thanks for the input... I think I'll leave it alone from here on out. This is more than enough for me. 🙂
It’s up and running now; I honestly have no idea why it was being so stubborn before.
Is there any actual risk of losing data on my hard drive due to overclocking? A buddy of mine mentioned he was pushing his CPU and suddenly files started vanishing from his drive out of nowhere...
Right now, my processor is sitting at 3.21 GHz per core.
My goal is to push it toward 3.5 GHz per core, so I wanted to ask: what should my next move be? Should I just bump up the multiplier and see what happens?
Also, what kind of headaches should I realistically be looking out for? I'd like to know what kind of trouble I might be inviting in...
Thanks... 🙂
A quick question...
I am running an Intel Core i9-13900K
I bought a Zalman CNPS7500-CU for it, which keeps things running quite decently with about a 25-30 degree delta.
Now, I have been experimenting with pushing the multiplier...
Initially, the multiplier was at 13, but I bumped it up to 15 and everything seems to be working perfectly fine. However, once I attempt to push it to 16, the whole system just loses stability and fails to boot entirely.
I did try increasing the voltage as well, but it didn't change the outcome one bit.
My motherboard is a Gigabyte S-series socket AM2 setup.
I have 2x 2GB Kingmax sticks installed.
And an EN8800GT graphics card.
If anyone happens to have some insight on this, I would appreciate the help. Thanks...
