It’s just a Windows setting, man. You don't have thumbnails enabled for video links. Here's a quick clip showing how to fix it, takes like ten seconds...

But I already mentioned in my first post, "My folder settings are already set to show thumbnails, so that's not it.>>" If that were actually the issue, thumbnails wouldn't be showing up in any folders—including Windows Explorer—not just this one specific folder on my phone while everything else works fine...

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if it's some weird conflict with the version of .NET Framework I'm running now, or maybe my current Microsoft Visual C ++ Redistributable...

I don't really want to start playing trial and error with my system though...

Anyway, thanks for the effort and the link... 🙂

I usually don't ask for help with software stuff because I love tinkering and fixing things myself, but I've hit a bit of a wall here.

When I plug my phone into my PC via USB and open up the "Kodak" folder, I'm seeing generic icons instead of photo thumbnails. My folder settings are definitely set to show thumbnails, so it's not a configuration issue on my end.

The weirdest part is that I can see thumbnails perfectly fine in every other folder on the phone—it’s just this one "Kodak" folder giving me trouble. Also, if I move a photo out of that folder to somewhere else and then move it right back into "Kodak," the thumbnail suddenly shows up. It's like moving them around grants them some kind of property they didn't have before. I know exactly what it is... they're missing the "resources" attribute.

I'm attaching a screenshot in the link. The photo on the right is from the main folder and shows up as an icon, not a thumbnail. Once I move it elsewhere and bring it back, it gains that "resources" characteristic and the thumbnail works, even in the folder where it was failing before.

I've already tried resetting Microsoft and doing a factory reset on the phone, but nothing works. This started happening right after I reinstalled Microsoft a few days ago.

If anyone has any ideas or knows what might be causing this... 👍

Personally, I’d say it means discovering your own talents and actually putting in the work to develop them.

Some people are just talented at picking a killer neckline and working an exit... ☕

I can't imagine any woman actually wanting to be a walking anatomy lesson, whether she realizes it or not. Honestly, I don't think anyone wants to be treated as a mere sexual object, unless their sole purpose in life is just to show off.

With this post, you're basically acting like a projectionist—you see exactly what you want to see in others.
And what look is a woman striving for? Well, let me describe what *I* strive for. My everyday feminine look: a knee-length dress—or maybe just a couple of inches above the knee at most—usually paired with casual sneakers, tights and boots in the winter, or just jeans and a button-down. Minimal jewelry, and as far as makeup goes, just mascara and maybe some lip balm or gloss. No deep cleavage, no micro-minis... just manicured nails and long hair, either down or in a ponytail.
When I'm heading to the beach or doing something athletic, I'm just in sweats and gym sneakers.
There are absolutely no fake eyelashes or anything like that, which seems to be what you're hinting at.
So, tell me, which part of my description reminds you of a walking vagina? Unless, of course, wearing a decent length dress and tights is now synonymous with being a walking sex object.

And yeah, screw the guys who have nothing to say and aren't interesting. I'm not quite as "brave" as the original author to go around labeling everyone, but I will say this: I simply have nothing to do with people like that. The same goes for those who refuse to show any emotion whatsoever.
Finding a guy just for sex is easy enough, but—thank you very much—that's certainly not what I'm looking for.

Doesn't matter who they hang out with. All they need to do is check CNN or some major news site to see what kind of women are considered "in" right now. Honestly, the duck face thing is dead, but that ridiculous body type is still all over the media...

The truth is, more than half of women out there aren't anything like what you see on social media or news sites... it just goes unnoticed.

No matter how you look at it, it’s all just nature's way of driving us to reproduce and keep the species going. Getting a little hit of instant gratification along the way doesn't really justify all the effort and time put into the whole process...

As for me, I actually want to live!

I'll head out when the time is right... not a second sooner... 🤷

I don't have any desire to die early, but I'm not looking to stick around longer than necessary either.

When nature finally calls, I just hope I can leave with a smile on my face instead of whining, "just a little longer"...

I actually stumbled upon this absolutely brilliant video on YouTube about the whole subject 🙂 .

You're being serious right now...? 🍿

Why would anyone even want to live forever?

Total disaster. 👎

I kind of feel bad for people who can't let go of this world and just want more...

I have always felt it was a shame we aren't granted the agency to choose our own exit. Imagine simply deciding, "That's enough for me," falling asleep, and never waking up—or perhaps waking up somewhere else in an entirely different form. Unfortunately, the rules of this life aren't designed that way. 😢

I honestly thought that was an option, and people just called it suicide... 🤔

You're basically looking for something that society or religion would actually label as "normal"...

Gerald Ward13 said:Even though I changed my handle, there's a good chance some of the old-timers or regular visitors here will recognize me sooner or later. Honestly, I don't really care. I want to keep my profile low, but if people figure out who I am, oh well...

What’s the big deal? I was always that kid—quiet, introverted, and zero interest in the whole high school party scene. I just assumed I’d find my way through academic success, both in high school and college. The college I picked was pretty tough, but getting in was actually a breeze because you could basically just cram a specific set of practice questions and call it a day. Back then, it felt like the path of least resistance. To be honest, I went for it because I didn't have the confidence to aim for something more competitive, like architecture or pharmacy, where kids from all over the country apply. At the time, it felt terrifying—how could a kid from some random small town in the Midwest compete with the geniuses from the top prep schools in Chicago or New York? Looking back, I see how much I undersold myself, but whatever...

So, my college years rolled on. I did relatively well, working side jobs whenever my schedule allowed since I didn't have many responsibilities. My main goal was just to grind through it as fast as possible so I could stop being a burden to my parents. I traveled quite a bit too, saw some great parts of Europe, and enjoyed the perks of being a student (even if I still wasn't much of a social butterfly). Everything changed once I graduated. Suddenly, the core pillar of my life—being a student—was gone. I found myself bouncing between odd student jobs under other people's contracts, essentially stalling my career for a year because I felt like I wasn't ready for the real world...

Then, reality hit. I landed my first "real" job in my field, and I actually wasn't bad at it. It was with a major corporation, but that's where things went south. Under massive stress and dealing with some poorly chosen medication from my psychiatrist, I finally snapped. I ended up being hospitalized with a psychotic disorder. At the time, it didn't even feel that scary, aside from certain moments. I just told myself, "Okay, this happened." Everyone hits rock bottom sometimes; life goes on. I figured this would just be one weird chapter in my biography. (I should mention that during college, I dealt with two heavy bouts of depression triggered by heartbreak and the pressure of school...) Needless to say, after being out on medical leave for nearly six months, the company gave me the boot and didn't renew my contract.

I moved back home and spent some time working in an office for a family friend who was understanding about my situation. Over the next four years, I had three more relapses that required hospitalization. The diagnoses jumped around between schizoaffective and bipolar disorder—take your pick. I survived it all. Being in those wards wasn't as terrifying as an outsider might think. There was plenty of joking around, laughing, crying, frustration, smoking, and hanging out in the city. We made some solid friends. Since we were in an open ward, it felt a bit like a chaotic dorm. Eventually, my friend couldn't keep me on staff indefinitely, so I left the job and ended up unemployed. 2016 was spent prepping for professional exams, dealing with another hospital stay, and burning through my savings. Looking back, I was incredibly stupid; I was smoking three packs a day and probably blew through $3,000 just on cigarettes alone.

Fast forward to 2017: I found a temporary gig in local government. I stayed there for a year before switching jobs at the start of this year. The problem is, this new job is anything but fulfilling or dynamic. And the pay? Don't even get me started. It’s not that I’m craving the soul-crushing stress I had at my old jobs, but I could use a little excitement. Now, I’ve landed a permanent position, and honestly, it scares the hell out of me. Part of me still wants to pack up and move somewhere else—somewhere with a more stable system where you can succeed based solely on your own merit. But I'm also terrified of what happens if I have another relapse. On top of that, I'm exhausted. I can never seem to truly rest. If anyone has any advice, please throw it my way. I'm already losing my mind!!🙂

My advice? Use some paragraph breaks. It’s impossible to read this wall of text...

I only made it as far as "even though I changed my username"...
