Man, if you aren't willing to actually show what you're about, why even hang out in places like this forum in the first place? You've had plenty of decent offers to come down to the club and actually demonstrate your skills, so what's the hold-up?

Since you mentioned you write academic papers, think about it this way: what’s the point of publishing all those articles if nobody can actually verify the facts within your research? Usually, a paper has to go through some intense peer review by a journal, right? Well, look at this seminar as your own personal "peer review" for your martial arts mastery! It's basically like attending one of those big professional conferences or lectures you go to—treat this like your own little convention.
There are honestly a bunch of reasons why you're dodging the spotlight.
I can see exactly how you think just by looking at what you said about your scientific writing...
- First off, if you actually revealed your identity and showed everyone what you know, you’d totally tank your reputation in your academic and social circles that you've spent years building up. People would see what you're posting on forums, and let's be real, there are already enough "know-it-alls" and ego-trippers in this country.
- And the second reason? It's because your skills don't quite match up with your theory when you step away from the keyboard. It’s definitely a lot easier to scrap via text and scrape knowledge off Google.com than it is in real life.
If a statistician looked at both of those points, they'd probably find a "significant statistical correlation" or whatever that fancy term is...
