So, I ran a scan with McAfee after letting Norton run the show for a year, and it came up totally clean. Either Norton is doing its job perfectly, or McAfee just missed everything. Thanks for nothing, McAfee—you're just a trial version anyway. Why bother running two when one does the trick? Even my nephew could tell me that.

Alright. I'm downloading McAfee to see if this ZoneAlarm antivirus actually kills everything it touches.

Daniel Long97 said:ZoneAlarm is garbage and slows everything down, especially if you're on a modem. Toss Norton on top of that and you've just created a total mess. You're much better off sticking with McAfee and Cisco or Symantec!

Why bother with Norton when ZoneAlarm comes with its own antivirus? It works fine for me. I used to run McAfee before I decided to give ZoneAlarm a shot; once ZoneAlarm caught those two or three viruses, McAfee was history.
With ZoneAlarm Suite, Malwarebytes, and S&D, I don't think anyone can touch my system. 😉

Why wouldn't you just go with ZoneAlarm? It handles both the firewall and the antivirus in one package. And don't give me that "I don't need a firewall" excuse.
