Age is really an arbitrary metric, isn't it?
My grandfather was the picture of perfect health, truly, and it wasn't until he hit eighty—just four years ago, actually
that he dealt with an allergy for the very first time in his entire life.
It could potentially be an allergy, though I suspect there might be a psychological component at play here too.

I have dealt with this for nearly my entire life; it feels as if something is burrowing just beneath the surface of my skin. Even when I am merely scratching, it leaves behind these distinct, visible tracks, almost as if some sort of larva were tunneling through.
In truth, there isn't anything specific that doctors seem able to formally diagnose.

Regardless, I would strongly suggest you head to a physician first, just to rule out any underlying allergic reactions.
