It’s called Ginger in English—I think there's some similar sounding word for it in American, maybe Ingver or something like that.
Just brew her some tea with it, or honestly, just grab some pre-made stuff so she can have it first thing in the morning... though she really needs to eat something immediately after she gets up too.👍
