I feel like we're seeing more industry awards and "lifetime achievement" nods lately than actual substance in the shows themselves. It feels like the business side of Hollywood is getting more obsessed with celebrating certain creators than just making great television. Does anyone else feel like the golden age of storytelling is being replaced by industry hype cycles?

Struggling to sleep? Any tips?
in Health ·
I find myself waking up after about six hours of sleep too. I’m pretty sure I can blame my stiff back for that one. I guess I really need to focus more on stretching out and maybe try sleeping in a slightly better position.
COVID-19 updates and discussion

I honestly don't get how there are only 5 recoveries reported in the US. We had our first case over a month ago, so does the Coronavirus really take that long to clear out?
I guess I’m dealing with something pretty similar; my issues are mostly centered around my thoracic spine. It’s just some minor aches in that area, nothing too crazy. For me, getting into a regular routine of static exercises actually ended up helping quite a bit.

If you really want to give your testosterone a boost, you should probably look at healthy fats—think things like bacon, various nuts, or even just some good olive oil.

If you want to give your testosterone a real boost, honestly, fats are the way to go—think things like bacon, various nuts, or even just some good olive oil.
Look, if hitting up a gym isn't really your vibe, you can still get things moving at home. Maybe try knocking out some squats and knee pushups? I guess just aiming for 50 of each a day to start could work. Also, when you're eating, maybe try pairing your carbs—think bread, rice, pasta, oatmeal, or potatoes—with some protein, like chicken, eggs, milk, cheese, or yogurt.
Could you maybe throw in some other details, like your height? It’d also be super helpful if you could list out what you eat in a day and how many calories you're actually hitting.

Dealing with a range of symptoms: head pressure, fatigue, unsteady legs, and numbness in my body and

I’m guessing your issues are stemming from your lower back, because whenever your hand goes numb after sitting in a weird position, it's usually a lumbar thing. I deal with some similar stuff myself, though maybe not quite as intense as what you're feeling. I actually had these symptoms once that felt almost like heart problems—things like a lump in my throat, trouble breathing, and my hands would shake—but it turned out to be nerve issues from my thoracic spine. To really figure out if there's actual damage in your spine, you'd probably need an MRI; an X-ray won't show much beyond things like lordosis, kyphosis, or scoliosis, which aren't dangerous on their own, but they can definitely be red flags for a herniated or extruded disc.
It could be MS, some kind of nerve impingement, or maybe just something else entirely
