Mosquito bites

Does anyone actually have experience dealing with these damn mosquitoes? Is there some kind of killer repellent out there—like Raid or something else effective? I’ve been using Raid for mosquitoes, but honestly, it doesn't do squat. If anything, it feels like they actually like it... they just keep coming. And if anyone happens to know how they breed so fast? They bite so hard they literally wake you up from your sleep!
