It’s mostly for music, I guess. I might try looking for some Verbatim, but I won't be able to pick anything up until I head out to Chicago next week, since the local shops here in my neck of the woods only seem to carry TRXData.

The burner seems to be functioning perfectly fine during the actual burning process, but once the disc is finished, it refuses to read it back. It keeps flagging the burned CD as if it were completely blank. I’ve tested this by putting that same burned disc into a different drive, and it reads just fine there. Meanwhile, this specific burner handles any older, previously burned CDs without any issues, regardless of the manufacturer. Right now, I’m working with some discs from Traxdat.

My optical drive isn't reading any newly burned CDs or DVDs; it treats them as if they're completely blank when they actually aren't, though I've tested them on another device and even in my car where they work just fine. To make matters more confusing, an older disc that I burned on this exact same drive only a month ago still plays without any issues. I'm running a genuine, fully updated version of Windows 10, so I suppose there's a chance this is a hardware hiccup, but I'm wondering if anyone might have some advice before I just give up and go buy a high-end external USB optical drive.
