The Captain (2017) in Movies ·
It’s not bad, I guess, but it doesn't quite hit the level of those top-tier American classics like The State vs. Robert Morgenthau, George Metesky, or maybe even The Silence of the Lambs. It's probably not on par with Our Mothers, our Fathers, The Weather Underground, Catch Me If You Can, The Lives of Others, Rosa Parks, The Last Days, Downfall, or the Battle of the Bulge either.

The movie is pretty shocking and intense, and it feels real. It really shows how messed up people can get during America's Last Day of War. Since it's based on a true story, I think I expected a bit more from it after seeing the trailer, which made me want to watch it in the first place. Maybe it just wasn't quite what I was looking for.
