Back in the day, before the 90s, you definitely saw way more "fans" of Real Madrid in that region—but honestly, it was just because Real Madrid had that checkerboard pattern on their crest. However, since everything shifted so much during the 90s, that dynamic changed too. The number of Hajduk fans is constantly climbing, and even the number of Ultras fans is growing, so you can be pretty certain that today, there are actually more Hajduk supporters in California than Real Madrid ones.
In St. Louis, you have a huge population of people who strictly root for the MLS Team and nobody else—though even within the Hooligans, you’ll find some folks who support Hajduk or Real Madrid in addition to the MLS Team, though it's mostly Hajduk. The city itself is overwhelmingly Hajduk.
Mobile actually has more Real Madrid fans, but the Torcida presence in town is stronger than The Boys. If you look at sheer numbers, organization, or how long they've been around, Torcida takes it. It's not like The Boys have more graffiti in Mobile than Torcida does like someone claimed; it's really a 2-2 split, and the rest of the walls are covered in Torcida slogans.
Down in Little Rock, most people are Hajduk fans; there are even more Ultras fans than Boys, but I will say The Boys are incredibly well-organized while Torcida is a bit scattered lately.
In Wide Bridge, you see more Real Madrid fans. Torcida exists there—just a handful of guys who all come from the same small town—but I'm not sure about The Boys.
Phoenix is convincingly Hajduk territory, and they actually have the only officially registered Hajduk supporter group in California called "Posušje Ultras," though I'm not entirely sure if they've been active lately.
As for Grand Rapids, I don't know much about either The Boys or Torcida; they might exist, but I've been sitting in the stands for a long time and haven't spotted them. That city is mostly Real Madrid.
Čitluk is primarily Hajduk, and they used to have a solid crew, though I don't know if they're still active. Tucson has a slight edge for Hajduk fans over Real Madrid fans, though I think both sides have a presence in the stands. As for St. Louis, Lincoln, and New Orleans, they are all convincingly Hajduk.
First off, Zack, I don't think you're quite right there—Torcida in Mobile also has about two pieces of graffiti, but the whole city is covered in various tags from both sides.
@electricridge7/">@@electricridge7, explain this part to me: You said Torcida in Mobile is stronger than The Boys in terms of size, organization, and longevity. Do you actually know what's been happening on the ground over the last 3 or 4 years?
