Thinking about it all, I’m starting to suspect circulation might actually be the culprit here, rather than just allergens (though I’m not ruling those out—I can always tackle them later). So, how do you actually boost circulation naturally, without leaning on meds? I tried using some herbal circulation tea from a local health shop once. It helped a little, I guess, but as soon as I stopped, my hands and feet went right back to being ice cold.
Regarding my circulation, it’s pretty weak—my hands and feet are constantly freezing. I did a few rounds of lymphatic drainage, maybe ten sessions at a time, using both manual techniques and those high-tech machines. It definitely helped, just like getting a massage for my neck and back does. But honestly, I can't afford to do that all the time. One or two sessions isn't enough to make a difference. Besides, that's just treating the symptoms, and I really want to figure out what's actually causing this. I had my hormones checked, and I think I covered everything—though I might need to double-check if I included my adrenal levels. Everything seemed fine. My blood pressure stays pretty low, around 100-110/90.
I haven't been watching my gluten intake until now, but maybe I should... I know there's always a reason for these things, but even with some "guidance" from my doctor, I haven't managed to pin it down. That's why I started this thread.
I drink plenty of water. I actually thought I might have been overdoing it with the plain water at one point, so I scaled back a little. Now, instead of eating dinner, I just have some tea in the evening. I only really touch juice on rare occasions, like during a party or something. And no, I don't take any medications or supplements.
The swelling usually dies down to an average of about 12 hours (I’m up by 7 AM). If I’ve had a rough night or didn't get much sleep, then it sticks around longer. I'm mostly fine by the afternoon. Because of that, I don't bother with makeup in the morning—it feels gross to put anything on my face, whether it's blush or mascara... I feel like it just makes the puffiness look even more obvious. I've already had my thyroid checked, plus blood work and all the hormone stuff, and everything comes back normal. There's clearly a problem somewhere, I just can't seem to pin it down.
Yeah, I actually had a cardiologist check me out too... everything came back fine. I’m pretty active on my own, mostly fitness stuff.
I don't have any other symptoms. I went for allergy testing because of the swelling, but those results were always a total wash. I don't drink alcohol, and I don't really do late dinners since I eat lunch quite late—I rarely even grab a sandwich. Plus, I sleep in a freezing cold room. My pillow is pretty low, so maybe I'll try changing that up.
Generally speaking, there isn't a single morning where I don't wake up swollen; it just feels a little less intense sometimes.
Thanks for all the advice and comments
I don't really touch salty food; I barely put a pinch of salt on anything cooked, and I never salt my salads. I drink all sorts of teas... I've also tried various compresses, but they didn't really do much. As for allergy testing, I've gone in a few times every couple of years (the last one was about two years ago), and everything came back negative. But maybe I'll try following the suggestions from Tyler James5. I guess I'm just not sure what else I could possibly do...
Well, just like the title says, I’m waking up with a swollen face every single morning 🙂. Sometimes the swelling goes down during the day, sometimes it doesn't. On top of that, the bags under my eyes are pretty intense. It hasn't really bothered me until lately, but now it's starting to get on my nerves. And honestly, I have no clue what to do about it.
I actually went in for a full physical before summer started. Blood work, urine tests, thyroid, kidney function—everything came back totally normal. I’ve never dealt with anything serious in my life, and my weight has been pretty steady too.
Has anyone else dealt with this? Any advice?
