Hi everyone, my dad was recently diagnosed with lung adenocarcinoma, which is pretty heavy news. He’s 59, but he’s incredibly active—always out in the woods splitting wood and keeping himself moving, so he’s physically quite strong. Right now, the doctors suspect it might have metastasized to his liver, though we’re still waiting on an MRI to confirm everything. After the surgery, the plan is to go through four cycles of chemotherapy using cisplatin and paclitaxel. I’m wondering if anyone here has gone through something similar? I’d really appreciate it if you could share your experiences—anything about the chemo process itself, what kind of side effects to watch out for, or even advice on nutrition. Like, what foods are actually easy to keep down when you're feeling rough? And how long does the whole thing usually take? Thanks in advance to everyone.
