Best PC build for video editing?

So, if I’m reading this right, the heavy lifters here are going to be the CPU and the RAM, while the graphics card is more of a secondary concern—I mean, sure, I’d love something decent, but I’m definitely not looking for one of those high-end monster cards meant for hardcore gamers. As for memory, 8GB is technically the floor, though personally, I’d much rather aim for 16GB right out of the gate, since upgrading later can always be a bit of a headache. For the brain of the operation, I’m really leaning toward an i7. To clarify what I actually need: I just need the tower itself. I’ve already got my monitor and all my peripherals sorted, and I’m not looking to drop extra cash on an OS. One thing that’s a total dealbreaker, though, is making sure the motherboard has a slot for a FireWire card, because I’ve already got one sitting here ready to go.

Looking at various setups, this one seems to be the closest thing to my ideal build:

Anyway, I would truly appreciate some guidance here, because honestly, I’m a bit out of my depth when it comes to judging the quality of specific components—like knowing if a motherboard is actually reliable—or even figuring out which retailers are the most trustworthy.
