So, yeah, the length is definitely gonna be an issue... which is exactly why I went with the one that has the built-in amp. Honestly, I don't get why they even manufacture these long ones if they aren't reliable!

Here’s the deal:
I’m trying to pull a connection from about 150-200 yards away—straight line of sight, nothing blocking it. I moved their router (it’s a TP-Link) up into the attic, then set up my own setup in my attic using a Kasens G9000 antenna. I've got this 12ft USB extension cable—one of those powered ones with the built-in amp—running straight to my laptop. On paper, the signal looks perfect. Full bars, "excellent" status, you know? But when I actually run a speed test, I’m getting a pathetic 4.14 Mbps download and a measly 0.54 Mbps upload.
The real headache, though, is the constant dropping. It keeps cutting out. Honestly? I'm starting to think it's the USB port itself. I've already tried swapping ports and messing around with the settings in Device Manager, but nothing sticks.
Anyone out there have any clue what might be causing this mess??
