Thanks, Fiona, you too.
Everything just feels so heavy right now... I think I might need to look into some professional help. Honestly, I'm just struggling to deal with this loss—the person I was supposed to spend my whole life with. 😕😕😕
Just checking in here... unfortunately, I have some heartbreaking news to share. My fiancé passed away, just two months after the diagnosis was confirmed. Pancreatic cancer is incredibly sneaky—by the time you actually notice symptoms, it’s often too late, and then everything just moves at lightning speed.
Like one doctor told me: the pancreas is like a tiger; it sleeps peacefully, but once it wakes up, it swallows you whole.
I don't really have any words of comfort right now. I'm trying to cope, but it's so hard... I know life goes on, but I can't even begin to imagine a future without him.
I was holding his hand when he took his last breath. He knew he was slipping away, but he still managed to smile at me and say, "Goodbye, sweetheart." He squeezed my hand so hard that his nails dug right into my skin.
I know people go through all sorts of things, but I never could have imagined a pain this deep.
If I could offer any advice to those caring for someone with cancer, it would be this: do everything within your power. That's the only way to keep your conscience clear and avoid those agonizing "what ifs"—wondering if there was more you could have done. Time is such a massive factor when fighting this disease.
I just wish I could find more stories of people who beat this awful illness...
Wishing you all the best. To those dealing with sick loved ones: stay strong. When something like this happens, it leaves permanent scars on everyone watching their loved ones suffer.
Kate Wells44 said:If there’s something going on with the adrenal gland, you really need to get a CT scan of the chest, since lung cancer frequently spreads to the adrenals. Another possibility is just a benign change—like an adrenal adenoma, which happens all the time—and the absolute last thing we're looking for is primary adrenal carcinoma, which is incredibly rare.
The chest X-ray came back clear... now we just wait to see what the biopsy shows. I'm really crossing my fingers for some good news...

The pathology report will give us some actual direction—whether we’re looking at carcinoma, maybe a sarcoma, or even some melanoma on the skin that hasn't even been noticed yet.
Sometimes a primary tumor doesn't even have to be huge before the metastases go crazy.
This adrenal gland issue feels really suspicious to me, and it's possible everything started there; we should be able to figure that out pretty easily by checking hormone levels, among other things. Besides, adrenal endocrine tumors are super rare.

Even if it isn't stomach cancer, having the disease spread out like this is a pretty serious situation. I'm crossing my fingers that they can pinpoint the primary site quickly so we can jump straight into targeted therapy.
Thanks, I'll check back in once we get the biopsy results----hoping for the best, praying for some kind of miracle where it turns out it isn't cancer...

Honestly, the pancreas would have been the absolute worst-case scenario.
Now I'm just torn—should I jump into some alternative stuff right away, or just wait for the final results?
Here I am again, bringing some slightly different news today.
My fiancé had an abdominal CT scan, and it shows a metastasis on his liver—the largest one is about 20 mm.
There’s also a round lesion visible in the left adrenal gland, though it doesn't specify what it is.
Then it mentions enlarged lymph nodes, and there's a 35 mm metastatic deposit on the peritoneum just below the left diaphragm.
Everything else looks normal; the CT shows nothing on the pancreas, and his stomach and colon exams came back clear too.
The oncologist suggested we go ahead with a CT-guided liver biopsy before deciding on the next steps...
I’m honestly a little scared that things might take a turn for the worse while we wait for everything to play out... but we've already started working on boosting his immune system.
Ah, I don't know...
Angela Wright, what are your thoughts on this situation now?
Mom fiancé had an X-ray on Friday, and here’s what came back:
The results show multiple secondary changes in the liver, pancreas, right adrenal gland, upper abdominal retroperitoneal lymph nodes, and some suspicious findings in the left adrenal gland, though the primary site isn't clearly marked. One of the focal lesions on the pancreas might actually be the primary one. Everything else looked normal. They recommended a chest X-ray and a CT scan of the abdomen, and since he's in pain, they suggested seeing a primary care doctor immediately.
He's 44... about 15 or 20 days ago, his stomach issues really ramped up—lots of bloating and burping. Since he already deals with gastritis, he didn't think much of it until the back pain started, specifically in his kidneys, so he decided to go in for an Ultrasound.
On the Ultrasound, the doctor didn't see anything wrong with his kidneys, just a little bit of sediment.
She didn't say anything directly to him, but she pulled me aside and whispered that these look like cancer metastases, so we have to find out where it started.😢 Is there any chance they aren't metastases? And if they are, is there still hope? I'm desperate; I just want to save him, I'd do anything...
I've never been in a situation like this before. I couldn't even imagine what people go through when they face something like this...
