Nicholas King said:Public transit is a necessity for some people. A coffee shop isn't.

The whole argument that "if they let public transit run, they should open cafes too" just doesn't hold any water, in my opinion.

Honestly, I think you're way more likely to catch something on a packed, stuffy city bus than you are sitting out on a cafe patio. If they decide to reopen shops, they could always just stick to outdoor seating only—no indoor service allowed.
So, does that mean they can just pull the same stunt with local coffee shops and restaurants too?
It’d be a total mess if they actually went through with it, honestly.
Honestly, I think this whole thing with public transit is just plain silly. I mean, if you’re just going to let people get packed in like sardines on buses and subways, what’s really the difference compared to being squeezed together in crowded cafes, restaurants...
or even at the local shopping malls?

Vili?

It can't be Villa's fault—I mean, this guy was already in the seat before he even showed up.
Villa can basically only swoop in and take the credit if something actually works out.

I mean, it’s pretty obvious his bosses know exactly what he’s capable of... you can even see his nose poking through the edge of that crooked mask at the end there.

As for that assistant bricklayer who somehow worked his way up to being the governor of the Midwest, well, I know how that story goes.🙂

The mason is someone else entirely. That would be Cook.
This one here is Kevin Kelic :-)

Luckily, nobody had to step in and rescue Andrej Plenković yesterday from that perpetually awkward reporter over at NBC—you know, the one who runs their news program too.

Local critics are whispering that this journalist’s position was actually handpicked by Tomislav Karamarko, who apparently helped her husband land a job back in the day at the CIA.

👍

Oh yeah, you mentioned Galatea yesterday. It’s actually wild—the guy running my entire county office basically only finished middle school before deciding to go back for night classes later on. 👍

This article is from way back in 2008.

And get this—he even held a Deputy Commissioner position:

I guess anything is possible when you're backed by the Republican Party. 👍

The Cabinet is actually handling this situation incredibly well—honestly, please stop spreading this kind of misinformation.

I actually posted something similar over on another thread.
Is there seriously any journalist left out there who hasn't been handed a script on how to report the news? I mean, does anyone actually have the guts to ask His Majesty why some people are suddenly being treated as more equal than others?
It’s not working for me either.
Life throws all sorts of fates at you, I guess. I usually just write about the people right in my own circle—you know, folks I actually see every day. And yeah, plenty of them end up drowning in debt, so they just pack up and head out.

As for those people who fly in just to take advantage of our healthcare system... well, those are the ones I love to poke fun at the most.
Take the crowd that shows up for a month during the summer just to get their teeth fixed; honestly, they’re everywhere.🙏

You have to wonder—what was the logic there? Why didn't they just stay put in the countries they were actually supposed to be working in?

What really gets me, though—and this is the part I can't wrap my head around—is that their excuse is basically that they don't have enough saved up for a house anymore. I mean, seriously? I don't get how they haven't managed to squirrel away anything over a few years—or however long they've been out there. It just doesn't add up to me.
I was catching up with a buddy on the phone today, and honestly, it just leaves me feeling totally floored by how much the news cycles and those endless online portals mess with people's heads. He’s actually questioning things like—get this—me just driving from one side of town to the other the other day, or even just taking a stroll through a local park. It’s like he thinks you aren't even allowed to step foot outside anymore. Honestly, if we keep going down this path, people are going to lose their minds. 😵🤣

It’s a similar story over in Mexico. Their leader actually forced a few hundred people into a space in Vallejo just two weeks ago—packed in there like sardines, really—just so they’d have to listen to him. And now? Well, things have absolutely exploded into a massive flashpoint. Honestly, nobody can quite wrap their heads around how it escalated so fast. 🤣

It actually crossed my mind again today while I was scrolling through all those news feeds and seeing everyone posting status updates about staying put and hunkering down at home.
And honestly? It’s frustrating—it feels like there isn't a single reporter out there willing to actually ask the tough questions or get the real story out to the public.
I was being a little sarcastic there—mostly because the way they present this makes it sound like a good thing, when in reality, they're just stripping away everyone's freedom.
Regarding the idea of a total lockdown...
At the end of the day, people's health is what matters most. If we can save even just one single life by shutting down the entire country—stopping businesses, putting everyone under a stay-at-home order, basically freezing everything in its tracks—then we've actually succeeded.🤦
Go ahead and try explaining that to Anemic and his buddy.

Here’s how some poet put it a long time ago—he went a little crazy later on, but he was good 😁.
Just swap out the Mercedes for an Audi.

Oh Lord, grant me a black Audi
with small plates on the back
so I can finally consider myself
an official fool.
Oh Lord, grant me a black Audi
with at least six doors
so I can peacefully shake my pride
into a golden ashtray.
Outside, there are boys and flags
and a people crushed by grief
but from the backseat, I see nothing
except for waving my hand.
Oh Lord, grant me a black Audi
for it is a wonder above wonders,
it's lovely to drive unpunished
over flowers and people.

Just trying to boost those numbers, I guess.
Honestly, we’re sliding pretty smoothly into a police state, aren't we?
Looks like those idiots finally figured things out.

The worst part is that the people calling for a total ban don't even realize what they're actually asking for.
urbanhawk17 said:btw, they might as well station snipers on Murter island too.

these guys are a bit sharp.

Grace Ramos said:I'll just keep clearing things out, and if I run into something even bigger...

And if one of those snipers actually takes someone out, will they just write that death off as another COVID case? 🤣
