It sounds like you might fall into that unlucky 5% where the surgery doesn't quite stick. I went through the exact same thing back in December 2012. Because of a recurrence, I had to have a follow-up procedure in February 2013, and since then, I've been totally fine. Basically, if things start showing up again, there's no sense in waiting around. It’s practically the same thing, just using a different device from a different manufacturer. In actual practice, the DG HAL RAR setup offers a bit more flexibility when you're dealing with prolapse.

I had my procedure done at the Leptir Clinic back in December 2012. Before that, I was dealing with stage 3 external issues and bleeding that just wouldn't quit for years. Things definitely looked up right after the first go-round, though I did end up with a minor prolapse about a month later. I wasn't having it, so I insisted on having the surgery redone (for $0.00) in February 2013. Since then, everything has been smooth sailing and I'm feeling pretty good about where things stand. I can get back into my regular physical activities and sports without a second thought. I still steer clear of alcohol and spicy food just to be safe, but for now, it looks like I’m finally in the clear. As for the clinic itself, the service was top-notch.

Back at the beginning of December, I went through with the DG HAL RAR procedure. Before that, I’d been dealing with bleeding, prolapse, and pain for over a decade—it was intermittent for years, but right before the surgery, it became constant and pretty heavy. For the first month following the procedure, everything seemed totally fine. But then, things started acting up again; the prolapse returned, though the pain was much more manageable, and I noticed some blood on the toilet paper on two separate occasions. After checking in with my surgeon, and after some time passed, I actually requested to have the procedure repeated. It’s been 15 days since the follow-up. This time, they performed the DG HAL RAR again, and they even made an incision on part of the prolapse (that soft thrombus area). I'm really crossing my fingers that we won't see a recurrence this time around. I'll check back in once I have more updates.

It’s been seven days since the procedure, and honestly, aside from one rough night where sleep was pretty much impossible due to some intense discomfort, I’m doing alright. I’m still avoiding sitting down for too long because, let's face it, that’s still pretty painful—though it’s definitely not hitting me as hard as those first few days did. No bleeding issues either, even though my doctor mentioned that spotting could happen up until week three while the stitches dissolve. My bathroom routine is pretty steady, if a bit more frequent than usual—probably just because the area is still super sensitive. So, all in all, everything seems to be going according to plan. I won't know what the final outcome actually looks like until my follow-up appointment, which is scheduled for about 45 days after the surgery.

I feel like I owe it to this community to share how much this forum actually helped me pull the trigger on my treatment plan. So, about three days ago, I went through a gallbladder removal at a private surgical center out here. Honestly, the whole experience was top-notch; the surgery itself—done under general anesthesia—went off without a hitch.
