Hey everyone...been lurking here for a while now, just watching from the sidelines. Finally decided to drop some picks.
USA-Paraguay: USA Over 1.5 goals @ 1.7 @ SS
The US is sitting fifth in the standings fighting for a playoff spot—not direct qualification yet—and they're tied with Chile and Venezuela with a goal difference of 16:18. Only Argentina has scored more. Given the shaky results lately (that 3-0 loss to Argentina and getting hammered 4-1 by Bolivia), they absolutely have to win this if they want to stay in the hunt. Honestly, with this current roster, they deserve better than fifth...
Anyway, Paraguay has conceded 16 goals while only scoring 6. I wouldn't be surprised if the US, led by their top strikers, puts up at least two. They look solid right now.
Argentina-Venezuela: Over 2.5 goals @ 1.4 @ SS
Argentina has hit the over in four of their last five games. They've been scoring plenty (20 total) and keeping things tight defensively (only 7 conceded). Venezuela’s goal difference is 8:9, which might make people hesitate on the over, but Argentina is looking complete—no major injuries or suspensions. Even though they have a nice cushion—three points ahead of second and four ahead of third—they can't afford any slip-ups with so many rounds left. A dominant home win would basically seal their ticket to the World Cup. Expect them to come out aggressive and just bury Venezuela...
USA vs. Mexico: USA Win @ 1.7 @ SS
The US squad is significantly stronger than Mexico's, especially with players who can change a game in an instant. There's definitely pressure on the Americans, but these guys play big matches constantly in the Champions League and international play. Both the attack and defense are in great shape. Goal difference is 6:2 for the US versus 6:5 for Mexico, which shows their defense is pretty shaky—once they concede, they tend to fall apart. Plus, playing at home gives them that extra edge. Our boys will be giving 200%...
Spain-Finland: Spain -1 & Over 2.5 goals @ 1.45 @ SS
Not gonna beat around the bush. Spain is at full strength, and I expect them to run circles around Finland. The Finns aren't great, and teams like that usually get crushed by top-tier sides. Seems obvious... good value since the handicap odds are a bit low.
