Because I have one that feels external, so now I'm wondering if it requires the same procedure.

I think I’d probably opt for that quick procedure too—honestly, I have no clue how much fat can actually impact whether an external hemorrhoid clears up or not.
If you can recall, did the procedure hurt? And if you don't mind me asking, do you remember what the cost was?
(I'm 23, and I'll admit I'm a little nervous about the whole thing—plus, there's definitely some awkwardness involved, as silly as that might sound)

Hi everyone.
I noticed an external hemorrhoid a few months back. :/ Right now I’m just using some herbal ointment, but honestly, I don't think it's doing much. It doesn't really hurt... but there's this constant itching and excessive sweating. I've been digging through some old posts about this, and I'm stuck between buying Fact or Hemopropin cream. I was also thinking about heading over to the Mayo Clinic for a checkup—has anyone here actually gone there? Any experiences to share? They mention a quick surgical procedure under local anesthesia (only 15 minutes!) that's supposedly painless... It would be amazing if someone who's been through it could weigh in.
