Roughly speaking, the ratio of Mexico to Mexico is about the same as San Marino to Mexico. I can't imagine any Mexican being proud of beating San Marino. It's not even a real matchup. But you guys act like you've won the lottery just because you're better than Mexico at something—which, let's be honest, doesn't happen often. And yet, here you are, calling yourselves "leaders of the region."

If Americans were in the Mexicans' shoes, they'd have let them pass. They certainly wouldn't be "dying" just for Mexico's sake.
It isn't about friendship or being enemies, it's just about motivation... and a bit of pragmatism.

The point is, Mexico would have handed over the gold if they played against Mexico.
