Hi there. I was hoping to get some insight regarding my mother's recent blood work. She’s 73 and living with Parkinson's disease, which has left her partially immobile. Over the last couple of months, we’ve noticed a pretty steady decline in her erythrocyte, hemoglobin, and hematocrit levels.
Here is what her labs looked like back in May:
Erythrocyte 3.84 (3.86-5.08)
Hemoglobin 110 (119-157)
Hematocrit 0.342 (0.356-0.470)
The next set of results from July 12th showed a really sharp drop in those numbers:
Erythrocyte 2.83
Hemoglobin 83
Hematocrit 0.251
On top of that, a few other things were outside the normal range, so I was wondering if someone could help explain those too. For instance,
Eosinophil 9.75 (0-7)
Basophil is within normal limits 0.80 (0-1)
Lymphocyte 19.70 (20-46)
Because of these readings, her primary care doctor sent her to the ER for an urgent evaluation, where they drew more blood on July 14th:
Erythrocyte 2.96
Hemoglobin 89
Lymphocyte 12.3
Eosinophil 2.4
Basophil 0.9
Aside from that, a quick check of the lower GI tract ruled out any acute bleeding. They mentioned that a transfusion wasn't necessary at that time.
Then, the very next day, July 15th, she had blood drawn again. They also ran some tumor markers; the report shows ferritin at 78.25 (reference range 4.63-204.00), but I'm a bit confused about which specific types of cancer these tests are meant to rule in or out.

I guess I'm wondering why the lymphocyte counts seem to be fluctuating so wildly? Also, does anyone know what TIBC actually stands for?
I suppose I'm also looking for advice on how to handle these low erythrocyte, hemoglobin, and hematocrit levels, and maybe what might be causing this. I'm honestly feeling quite panicked and worried, especially since these changes aren't just minor—they seem to be happening almost daily.
