Help! What's going on with Reddit?

Why on earth is this forum running at such a snail's pace? I frequent several other message boards where things snap open almost instantaneously—you click once and boom, you're there. But here? It’s a different story entirely. If I click on a sub-forum, I’m left staring at a loading screen for a good ten seconds before anything actually happens. Then, if I try to dive into a specific thread, the delay continues, and if I wait just a heartbeat too long, I’m greeted by those dreaded 502 bad Gateway The or 503 errors. And don't even get me started on trying to fix a typo; if I hit "edit," it feels like an absolute eternity passes before the editor finally loads up. Why is everything so sluggish? Other forums feel lightning-fast in comparison.
