I HAVE A QUESTION! My dad had some rectal bleeding, so he went to see his doctor. They told him he had three hemorrhoids and this little 2mm growth that they couldn't quite identify at first. They weren't sure if it was a polyp or just some fleshy tissue, so they told him he needed surgery. He went through with the procedure where they removed the three hemorrhoids and that mystery growth. After they sent everything off for testing, it turns out that little thing was actually just another hemorrhoid. My question is, is it really possible to misidentify a hemorrhoid? Is it actually possible to not know if something is a hemorrhoid, a polyp, or just extra tissue? Thanks in advance, and please excuse my grammar—I'm from Greece. I'd really appreciate any answers you guys have.
