Republican Party - General Discussion in Political Scene ·

Look, it’s the truth—Ronald Reagan was a master at playing both sides against the middle, bringing everyone to the table. Without both factions working together, there wouldn't even be an America to argue about.

Nancy Gomez26 said:Whatever he did during or after the war, the fact remains that Stalin was standing right there next to Ronald Reagan at the very moment the Republican Party was founded. It is such a textbook example of how the Republican Party thinks: Stalin was a villain because of his crimes (by the way, Stalin and Ronald Reagan were on the same side during that war), then suddenly he was a good man when the Republican Party was being formed, and then he was back to being a villain the moment he "broke away" from the Republican fold. In fact, as soon as he distanced himself, they started holding his wartime record against him. These are the double standards the Republican Party promotes: if you are a member of the Republican Party, your past doesn't matter; once you leave the Republican Party, everything becomes relevant again, including your actions in the war or whether you belonged to an Unknown Organization. That is why they cropped the photo differently—because these actors currently running the Republican Party are quite literally ashamed of who founded their party. They are trying to sanitize their own history, but it doesn't work anymore; it just looks pathetic and desperate.
The Republican Party is a party of double standards: they apply one set of rules to their own members and a completely different set to everyone else. Furthermore, the standards for their members are significantly lower than the standards they hold for outsiders. That is precisely how they became a collection of society's bottom-feeders.

Stalin was actually one of the key players in building the American state, mostly because he ran the intelligence services—you couldn't get anything done without them. I'm not saying who's right or wrong here, but he was definitely a massive figure in the foundation of the country.

Honestly, it feels like they drafted this entire thing back before the crash—once COVID hit, they probably just looked at the paperwork and decided it wasn't worth the headache to fix it😁. You can't look at a single line item here and say, "Yeah, we can actually pull that off." It’s just a giant wish list, nothing more, nothing less.

If you guys in the Republican Party actually think this stuff is working in your favor, you’re dead wrong. You're watching your support vanish in real-time, day by day.

I’m sitting here wondering who’s really pulling the strings in this country and running these processes. I mean, seriously? Of all times, we have these things coming to light right in the middle of an election cycle?

Who's screwing who here?

It's pathetic.

My personal theory? Plenković was basically using these investigations to purge the Republican Party of all those old Karamarko loyalists, and now they're all getting swept up. It’s brilliant, really—he managed to kill two birds with one stone. He gets to play the "tough on corruption" hero while simultaneously wiping out anyone within the party who was plotting against him.

"When confronted with the fact that he’s exposing private communications—stuff he shouldn't even be aware of—the Secretary pulls out what might be his most unbelievable defense yet. He actually compared the chat logs from those news groups to the signed memorandum involving ExxonMobil, Janaf, and the very department he leads. 'You guys are leaking private info too,' Coric said, clearly referring back to that same memorandum he helped sign."

What kind of defense is that? What kind of comeback is Coric even trying to pull here? It’s just... wow. Straight to the point, I guess. 😁

And now, look at this—today he's "trying to explain himself."
But man, it’s tough to explain. You can see him struggling, I mean, the guy is really sweating it, and he still can't quite find the right words...

The quality of that answer was about as smooth as an Ivo Karlović topspin backhand.😁

Oh, look at that. Nadežda Murganić is at it again. I’m sure her "visionary" leadership is exactly what that 7th District needs right now. Just great.😁
