Dealing with hemorrhoids – any advice?

Hey everyone, checking in from the Dubrava Basketball Club. I’m heading home tomorrow because I’m scheduled for surgery this Monday to fix both my internal and external hemorrhoids (to be specific, the external ones were prolapsed). What I really want to tell all of you is: people, please don't mess around with this. If you feel anything at all, go see a doctor. You can't just self-diagnose, and if you do, you won't get the right treatment. I suffered through this for 15 years, and now I'm finally getting it handled. After the surgery, they gave me some pain relief injections and everything went smoothly. My advice? Stick to whole grain bread, dried prunes, and dried figs; eat fresh apples and pears with the skin on, and drink plenty of fluids. Basically, focus on a high-fiber diet to ensure you're having regular bowel movements (at least four times a week). For me, Miocinovic was a lifesaver. Huge thanks to him. Good luck to all of you!
