Dealing with hemorrhoids – any advice?

Thank you all so much for the responses!!! We have an appointment scheduled for September because that is the earliest the specialist will be available in New York City to perform the THD procedure, but I am honestly struggling to figure out how we are going to make it through until then. Currently, they are taking Daflon (along with Tylenol for the pain) and using Dolokain topically, while sticking strictly to a diet of just soups and yogurt; the bleeding has actually subsided, but the pain is relentless—it’s absolutely agonizing. I would love to ask for one more piece of advice regarding which method is truly superior (or if they are essentially the same): DG HAL + RAR versus THD, specifically for stage 4, if the goal is a permanent fix and the fastest possible recovery. Since DH-HAL + RAR might be an option sooner, there wouldn't be any need to wait until September if the outcomes are identical. I have done some reading on both techniques, but I find myself placing much more trust in the real-world experiences shared by people who have actually gone through it. Hello everyone,
My husband is going through an absolute nightmare right now with hemorrhoids. He took two boxes of $267 over a 14-day period, but the pain has come back even worse than before, and the bleeding is more intense than anything we've seen. Even using Always pads isn't helping much; he leaves a trace wherever he sits. He ended up in the ER last night, but after being exhausted by all the examinations in the surgical department, they just sent him home with instructions to pick up some Detralex $40 and follow up in seven days. The problem is, the pain isn't letting up at all, and the bleeding hasn't slowed down either. I read somewhere on here that Lidoproct is effective, so I was wondering if anyone knows where we might be able to find it locally? We are living in San Diego, and tomorrow we’ll be calling clinics in NYC to see who can get him in for surgery as soon as possible. I’m assuming he might be dealing with stage 4 at this point. In the meantime, I am just looking for any advice on what he can use to manage the pain and reduce the bleeding, just enough to help him hold out until the surgery, which we are hoping happens very soon.
