Hmm. No. There are plenty of people who have tried heroin and didn't become addicts. There’s clearly some specific factor that makes one person fall into it while another doesn't. Maybe it's genetics? And medicine calls it an addiction disease for a reason... they don't just make that stuff up.

A disease!!! Seriously, if you have kids and a wife depending on you, heroin is going to win in the end if you don't get help... Especially when money isn't an issue and you don't have to worry about basic survival...

Addicts aren't idiots. They know they have children. They know what they're doing is destructive. They know they could die... and leave those kids totally alone...
I have a neighbor with a four-year-old son. He drinks like a fish, and he's probably going to lose custody in court. That’s why we call it an addiction disease. It's a DISEASE.
