Honestly, I know someone at basically every gym in town who trains. People always say you can just do it for fun, like a hobby 😁—so I’ve decided to dive into Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai. I'm thinking two sessions a week for each... though if I don't end up feeling like my muscle fibers are literally shredded after every class, I might actually show up more often. It sucks that I can't try Judo right now, though maybe I'll treat myself to that down the road. Right now, looking at all the different styles out there, I kind of want to learn everything—Taekwondo, Karate, Aikido, Ninjutsu, Kung Fu, even that Jeet Kune Do stuff from Bruce Lee... but yeah, maybe in another lifetime 😁 .

I'm trying to become a total warrior here 😁 So, what’s the verdict—what’s actually the best combo? Like, should I go kickboxing or Muay Thai plus some Judo or BJJ?

No dirty tricks, no Krav Maga nonsense... just straight-up fighting, like what you see in the UFC. I'm open to any martial arts or disciplines, just give me two options. The catch? I don't exactly have a top-tier MMA gym right around the corner from my place.

It’s a whole different vibe than what you see on TV, honestly. You walk in and it’s just sweat, old leather mats, and guys who look like they haven't slept since the Bush administration. It's kind of beautiful in a messed-up way, though. Just pure, unadulterated grind. Not everything is polished like a Vegas fight night; sometimes it's just you, a heavy bag, and the realization that you're definitely getting older. 🤣

So, I’m looking at 1v1 or maybe even small group stuff—nothing shady involving dirty tricks like Krav Maga, just straight-up fighting, you know? Like actual UFC-style grappling or striking. Any martial arts or disciplines are on the table—let's say pick two—but just a heads-up, I don't exactly have a local MMA gym right around the corner from me here in the States.

Hey guys, if you had to pick just two sports from this list to train, what would they be?

Muay Thai, kickboxing, judo, or BJJ...

Give me the breakdown—why go with one over the other, or why skip them entirely?
