Okay, now you’re really taking it too far. Yeah, the Moderator handles things inappropriately! Go check out the Alternative and see how they moderate. Everything I claimed in my opening post still stands. It doesn't occur to me to track his every move just to point out specific slips. Every thread I've ever posted in has been moderated improperly, with him constantly making the exact mistakes I described. Since there's no point in nitpicking individual errors and trying to perform some deep analysis, I’ve laid out the definitive proof against his stances right here. People aren't objective by nature because people are subjective beings—so nobody's opinion is truly objective, least of all a Moderator's. Carol Lopez23 has an insult in her signature aimed at anyone who thinks "Alternatively," so I'm telling you, you can definitely feel that bias bleeding into the moderation. If nothing else, he just fuels useless conflict with rude provocations.

For instance, imagine if the Moderator of the Automobile forum wasn't a driver, or had never even worked with cars, and to him, a Ford, a Volkswagen, a Honda, or a Ferrari are all just the same damn thing—just a way to get from A to B that he has zero interest in. How is he supposed to objectively tell who is providing accurate, relevant info and who is just being a provocateur? Or look at when someone in a thread about coils, cinsectors, or spark plugs thinks a coil has nothing to do with cars.

It's inappropriate! And having something in a signature like "screw your cars, you idiots" and letting that pass without punishment...

Even though the Admins should have dealt with this ages ago, I'm still calling for him to be stripped of his moderator position and slapped with a proper ban.

I honestly don't get what part you're struggling with... Which claim are you even talking about that isn't backed up?

Look, I think my signature says enough on its own, so what else is there to dig into? Your very first point in this thread was that people on Alternative are just labeling everyone now. Isn't that exactly what you're accusing me of doing?

p.s. Oh, forgot to mention—apparently everything you say is "just joking," while I'm over here being "dead serious!"
p.p.s. The signature isn't the issue. It just proves the point that the Moderator on Alternative holds a biased stance on the exact same things they claim are unacceptable.

Oh, look who finally decided to show up, oh great wise one...

First off, your signature is a total insult. You’re out here grouping every single religion into one big block of illusions. Like, 99% of people on this planet are religious or deeply spiritual, and you just write it all off as "gullible nonsense" and label them "idiots" right there in your signature. Who do you think you are?! Attacking people based on their faith or anything else goes against the forum rules, and you're supposed to be the moderator!!!

In the few threads I've actually jumped into, rest assured I know exactly what I'm talking about. I put in the work to understand both sides of the argument. In one specific topic where I've been most active—a topic I'm actually professionally trained in, practically an expert through my education—I spent months digging deep. That was on top of my actual schooling, which I consider a basic duty. I even took some real-world actions that didn't go unnoticed before I even stepped foot on this forum. And yet, here you are, putting me under your signed category of "illusory bottom-feeder!!!" Are you serious right now?

And regarding "my off-topic posts"—look, someone like you, lacking the education, the interest, the intellect, or the basic culture, isn't really in a position to judge what stays on topic and what doesn't. I won't even dignify your judgment with a comment. At least the Moderator had the decency to admit she couldn't follow the conversation and found it hard to moderate because of it, but clearly, you operate by different standards. Honestly, you'd probably be better off just lying under a palm tree, grabbing a drink, lighting one up, and letting the whole "moderating" circus begin...

Just put 100% of your soul into it and start your own damn forum, then you've actually got a job!

Let me highlight and break down this signature from the Moderator over at Alternative.

signature: Sept 26, 2011. Just gonna grab a beer, have a smoke, and mess around. Not wasting my time taking idiots and their nonsense seriously.

The date Sept 26, 2011
refers to that alignment between the sun and the comet Elenin-Earth that everyone on Alternative is obsessing over right now. Nobody actually knows—and nobody can prove—what’s supposedly going to happen that day, if anything. This whole thread is just one of the most active discussions currently running on Alternative. Personally, I haven't posted a single comment on it, nor do I plan to.

That part about grabbing a beer, smoking, and messing around
— honestly, I’ve got nothing to say except it's pathetic.

"Not taking things seriously" — there’s a link here to a table, styled like a periodic table of elements, that basically categorizes almost every topic ever debated into blocks labeled "silly, gullible, illusion, quackery, charlatanism, and New Age fraud," along with columns for "garbage, junk, crap, and hacks." I’ve actually participated in some of these threads myself, offering arguments and opinions. But looking at the whole chart, I think anyone could find themselves in one of those categories. Even our esteemed Carol Lopez23, who classifies everything so "argumentatively and objectively" into these blocks—because clearly, she’s the sole gatekeeper of Truth!

"idiots and their nonsense" — in this section, everyone who fell into any of those categories gets branded an idiot, complete with an example "idiot" via a link to a very popular blogger's site (I don't follow him personally). Interestingly, the blogger uses his real name, while our dear Carol Lopez23 stays safely hidden behind a pseudonym.

It's a joke!!! Correcting my first post in this thread: I don't think a multi-month ban is enough. Given the volunteer work he does and his blatant lack of manners, I’d say he deserves a lifetime ban!

You're just completely missing the point, Dukakis, and I could prove it if I felt like it. It’s cute how you bolded my comments, though—even if they always include an explanation that seems to fly right over your head. Cause and effect matters if you actually want to observe things objectively. That's what science is built on, but maybe try reading a book instead of just wandering the streets once in a while and you might actually get somewhere. There's hope for you, I guess. Not much, but there's some.

Why don't you just start a whole new thread to obsess over my character and my work? This isn't the place for it. Honestly, it blows my mind that this kind of off-topic trolling gets away with everything, while nobody ever talks about the terrible moderation over at Alternative or how the Moderator clearly has a massive grudge against anyone following the Alternative path.

empirical - empirical stuff
definition - what you learn just by watching and actually living through things; hands-on experience

Look, I’m all about the empirical data here. Theories are fine if you just want something to chew on during a conversation, but facts matter. So, strictly from an empirical standpoint, is it actually okay for a moderator to start insulting the very people this PDF was designed for? It’s a bit much. If you have thoughts on those alternative topics, just take them to the right thread in the appropriate PDF. With that whole "it's all just snake oil" attitude, you'd probably fit right in with how things are running lately.

hollowtrucker77 said:So how does one actually get an "alternative" education?
Is it just about being labeled?

Look, you finish your standard schooling and then you start digging into things that haven't been fully mapped out yet. Everything you uncover feels new, and at first, people slap the "alternative" label on it even if it’s been proven a dozen times over. Basically, if it isn't sitting in a textbook, they call it alternative. If you want a real answer, it’s constant learning from solid, accessible sources while keeping a critical eye on everything—basically just constantly challenging the status quo. It’s a scientific mindset where you don't go in expecting to find any specific answer.

But whatever, just get through high school and college first. It'll be easy after that...

It’s pretty obvious you’ve forgotten how badly you tanked on those vector problems, even after being warned you were talking nonsense. Now you think you’re qualified to judge a much more complex issue? Look, like I said before, you aren't the main event here. You could probably be fixed with a few years of intensive tutoring.

The real issue is the moderator. Faith isn't some topic you should be dragging a moderator into. By definition, if you believe, you don't "know." If you know, then you aren't believing anymore; you just have facts. Personally, I wouldn't even touch religion, but the fact that you, as an atheist, think discussing God isn't offensive is just another glaring hole in your upbringing and education. That’s what makes it especially insulting. If someone has zero relationship with their own mother, they shouldn't even attempt to grasp the relationships other people share—let alone make comments about mothers or intimate matters. And honestly, the question of God is way more intimate than that. In my neck of the woods, people would get rightfully slapped for that kind of lack of class.

So, it’s not the moderator’s job to decide whether to believe or not; that’s a personal matter. His job is simply to understand the conversation he’s supposed to be moderating. Since he lacks the education, the interest, the intellect, and the basic decency, he has no business being there.

brightpuma, you’re missing the forest for the trees here. I remember our talks. Don't act like you don't. For instance, looking at this thread, you clearly aren't the guy people come to for answers. It’s actually the opposite. You're just one of those types who trashes anyone pushing an alternative without having any actual arguments or even basic high school level knowledge—all while hiding behind the moderators protecting the alternative side. Regarding objectivity, sure, it matters, but someone lacking a solid foundation in the basics (like you or BAT Kol) who doesn't bother to actually study the subject matter—you know, the stuff they don't teach in American public schools, or cover on prime-time news, or even discuss on gaming forums—can't claim to be objective if they just dismiss everything as "stupid." Plus, there's the ego issue. We all have it, let's be real, but you can't stand being questioned or faced with a decent argument.
Moderators on Alternative in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Enough is enough. It’s not just that the mods couldn't care less about half the stuff being discussed on the alternative boards, or that they clearly don't have a clue what's actually going on before they go on a random deleting spree. It's not even just the fact that anyone posting on the alternative sections feels like they're on trial, having to justify their every thought. Or how some random science major can waltz onto an alternative forum and start a war, backed by mod protection. No, it goes deeper. Get this: moderator BAT Kol actually has this link http://symblogia.files.wordpress.com...rprijevod1.png right there in his signature. It isn't just offensive; it’s a direct slap in the face to every single person who has ever voiced a supportive opinion on any alternative topic. And trust me, his other link isn't any better.

The whole thing is a disgrace. I’m calling for BAT Kol to be stripped of his moderator status permanently and slapped with a multi-month ban. Like I said, he’s insulted every individual contributor on the alternative boards. Either that, or let me take over moderation for any board where I can openly mock and belittle the "experts" who think they own the place.
