The melody is catchy, I'll give it that. But I also get why people immediately jumped on it, calling it a cheap imitation. I just listened to it again after a sleepless night, and my takeaway is that all these melodies start sounding the same eventually. Some versions are a bit faster, some a bit slower... maybe. Some people will boycott the song just out of pure spite because it reminds them of something else, while others won't give a damn because, let's face it, the whole stadium chanting scene is basically one giant game of copy and paste.
@spinut called me out for not posting the song on purpose. That isn't true. It wasn't intentional; it just felt stupid to attach a song meant for the stands to an official video. It would have looked a little unprofessional, wouldn't it? And that thing I sent you in your private messages? Don't take it too seriously. But look, this specific part right here is the only bit actually worth singing with a hundred people in the crowd!

Honestly, just ignore these wannabe fans. What do they know? They've barely read two letters, and even then, it was just stuff from some Chicago Bulls fan or a random kid. I honestly don't even know what to say after reading some of these comments about the new anthem.
It's pretty obvious that a lot of our songs were adapted from melodies used by supporters overseas, but damn, what are we supposed to do about this one?
This particular chant is something the PAOK fans have been singing themselves for probably twenty years now, and their buddies, the Partizan fans, have been doing their own version for just as long. I think trying to claim this song was "covered" is complete nonsense, for one very simple reason: it’s one of those iconic, unmistakable anthems that both sets of fans have leaned on for ages.
It's like if the Red Sox or the Yankees decided to take one of our classic stadium chants and make it their own.
Anyway, if people are so thrilled about this "cover," fine. Let them sing it at the top of their lungs and prove to us that a copy can actually beat the original.

Absolute peak today against Steven! The north stands were packed, the energy was decent, but the real highlight hit around the 80th minute when they started singing those new songs. Just keep pushing, go White!

Those songs... man, the stands are just going to keep singing them. I mean, if people had been belting them out back when we were down 1-0, that would have been an even bigger high, but whatever, it doesn't matter. A lot of folks didn't even know the lyrics, but god, those songs are incredible. I've got nothing but respect for the songwriter; that melody is just infectious.🙏🙏🙏
