skipping out on bills
a total bummer - an awkward situation
the slammer
... the corner - where the local kids hang out

the scene - how the young crowd lives
big shot - a respected fan or someone important
a blowout party
trouble - a fight, a riot, or just a messy situation
away game - traveling to another city to support the team
glue sniffers
hooligan
the hardcore core - the most active group of fans
idiot
pure madness - the insane fan atmosphere
to beat someone up
to lose one's mind
to raid a boat - stealing fireworks from a vessel
Spitfire jacket - a flight jacket with orange trim
the railing
a fix
hillbillies - folks from way out in Appalachia
panhandling - begging for money to buy tickets or gear
