Jason Vaughn482 said:That’s nothing compared to my experience last month, when I actually had to pay out of pocket for my Concor—something that was never supposed to require a co-pay$3.25 just because I picked up a 50-count bottle; meanwhile, all my other prescriptions are covered for free. Since I was already standing there at the CVS pharmacy, I figured I might as well pay it, but it’s pure madness. It’s the same ridiculous logic with Sanval: if you get 20 pills, you pay, but if you get 30, it’s covered? Who in their right mind designed a system this nonsensical?

For Sanval, the 30-count box is only about $0.07 😉

I actually just stepped out of the drugstore

Anyway, who even said Zoloft makes you lose weight? 🙂
If I could find one more thing to help me shed pounds, especially alongside this other medication that's already causing weight loss as a side effect, I'd be set.

But hey, I'm hanging in there.

Here’s the situation: the individual doesn't actually have a foreign currency account yet, but they plan to open one and deposit some cash into it. Now, since the money has to sit in the account for at least 24 hours before it can be withdrawn, I'm wondering if anyone knows if a creditor could swoop in during that window—specifically those 24 hours—and grab it? In other words, will the foreign currency account get automatically frozen as well? Currently, all the standard checking accounts are already blocked.

Thanks

I hear what you're saying. But I'm telling you again, they won't be able to touch the money. Any amount moved there is still going to end up under OVR.

Here’s the situation:
I know someone who is currently buried under a mountain of debt—everything from bank loans and unpaid cell phone bills to local municipal fines. They aren't working at the moment, so the debts are just piling up. They need to deposit some cash into a foreign currency account, and according to what I understand, those funds have to sit there for at least 24 hours. My big question is: what are the actual odds that one of these creditors will swoop in and freeze that specific account? Has anyone actually gone through this or seen it happen? Thanks in advance!

If there's an active garnishment or levy in progress, there's really no chance you'll get to that money in the foreign currency account. It's kind of like how if your main checking account is frozen by a creditor, they can usually reach into your other accounts too. Once the freeze is in place, it covers the bases.

Actually, that’s not quite how it works. Loans always come before any kind of foreclosure or seizure. I’m not sure where you heard that, but it’s definitely not the case.

Think of it this way: first, they try to collect on the loan itself, and only if there’s still an outstanding balance left over does it escalate into a formal legal seizure.

Matthew White4 said:Look, redcrane22, just because I had a rough time doesn't mean you're headed for the same disaster. Honestly, I went through about 10 to 15 different antidepressants before I finally found "the one" that actually worked for me.
For me, the combo of Effexor XR 150 mg and Dogmatil 200 is absolute perfection.
I personally know people who swear by Calixta, too.
At the end of the day, you just have to hunt until you find the right fit.
Don't sweat it...

Just wanted to mention that I took half of my dose last night around 8:30, and honestly, I didn't even make it to the end of Suleiman the Magnificent. 😬
I didn't even take the Suleiman the Magnificent.
I didn't make it into the office this morning because I just couldn't manage to get out of bed.
I'm sitting here wondering if I should have a drink tonight or just call it quits altogether. It’s one of those nightly dilemmas, you know? Like deciding whether to hit snooze one more time or just face the day—sometimes the struggle is real. 😁

Matthew White4 said:Honestly, Calixta just had me completely wiped out... I was basically a zombie, sleeping through half my life 24/7. It definitely wasn't the right move for me.

Man, how much were you taking? My doctor had me on half a pill for the first week, and then moved me up to the full 30 mg dose.
Psychotropic medication discussion thread in Psychology & Therapy ·
Got both Sanval and Calixta

I was wondering if anyone here has experience using this combo
Do I actually need to take the Sanval to sleep if I’m already taking Calixta right before bed?

Also, how do you feel when you wake up in the morning? That’s a huge factor for me.

And is the whole thing about weight gain actually true, or just a myth?

Has anyone else dealt with their lips starting to tremble as a side effect?

Just wanted to mention regarding Elice—I ran into a friend yesterday who’s on it, and they were bright red and covered in a rash. It looked pretty nasty. They definitely got that from the medication.

I’ve spent so much time scrolling through the forums trying to find a specific topic related to true crime, but I just couldn't find anything quite right 😢
it’s kind of like being in a massive library where you know the book is there somewhere, but none of the labels make sense. Honestly, I hesitated to start a thread myself because I wasn't entirely sure which section would be the best fit for it

Bradley Williams74 said:It seems to me that most of the discussions on these forums are pretty outdated, even though I know there are so many people out there struggling with psychosis who, just like me, are searching for some real insight into the medication they've been prescribed...

Since I can't find a dedicated community specifically for this particular drug, I was hoping to hear from those of you currently taking it? For now, my doctor has me on a regimen of 150 mg of Seroquel at night (with the possibility of bumping that dose up later). My main struggle, however, is that this medication makes it feel absolutely impossible to wake up. I’m sleeping at least ten hours a stretch, and even then, it takes me a full hour just to physically pull myself out of bed; once I do, I’m hit with this intense dizziness and vertigo. I'll let you in on my little secret for managing it, though. The first thing I do when I finally manage to stand up is brew myself a pretty strong cup of coffee, and after about an hour or so, I start feeling a bit more stable—I still have some lightheadedness, but it isn't nearly as overwhelming as that initial wake-up period. By the afternoon, the sensation usually fades away entirely.

I would love to hear your thoughts and experiences!

You might have missed it, but we’ve talked quite a bit about Quetiapine—whether you call it Quetiapine, Seroquel, or Q-pin. It's all the same thing.
I’ve always wondered why some people, who seem to take just about anything, tell me they’d rather stash their boxes of Seroquel in the back of a closet than swallow another pill.
I had a similar experience myself. I was on it for a short stint before I realized it made me feel like I’d been run over by a semi-truck every single morning.
Also, if you look back a few pages, redcrane22 posted and copied some info explaining how it can actually be pretty harmful, and I think he even mentioned it being restricted in certain contexts.
Long story short, it's not great. Definitely give those posts a read.

Anthony Lopez8 said:Does anyone happen to know what the current going rate is for Seroquel (or quetiapine, generally speaking) when buying it at the pharmacy?

It’s pretty pricey. Someone mentioned it might be around $167 but don't quote me on that, I could be off by a mile.
Just keep in mind you can't exactly pick it up off a shelf without a prescription.

Hannah Foster6 said:Hey everyone... I was wondering, what actually happens if you have about two glasses of wine, and then maybe five hours later, you take a Xanax—or just some other tiny dose of a pill? I totally get that you aren't supposed to mix alcohol with meds, but I’m just curious if there are any weird side effects if you wait a few hours rather than taking them at the exact same time, like within an hour of each other. Has anyone here dealt with something similar or had any experiences they can share?

I’m not really worried about it specifically. It’s definitely not recommended, but still...
The wine might hit you a bit harder than usual.😁

Kenneth Scott41 said:My fellow forum members... I’m having a really difficult time lately. These suicidal thoughts just won't stop coming, but I'm honestly terrified of heading to the psychiatric ward. I've been admitted for this exact reason far too many times before, and I just can't face the idea of them putting me in one of those straightjackets and forcing me to stay on the unit against my will.🙂🤷 I feel completely lost. To make matters worse, I have to wait at least a month and a half just to get an appointment with my therapist! 😢

🙂

If you really need a change in your meds because that wait is just too long, you should head straight to the ER.
Don't even let those thoughts cross your mind...😠

Jesse Watson40 said:I was involved in an accident back in 2011, and when I renewed my policy in 2012, I was hit with a 15% surcharge. Am I correct in assuming that this penalty will carry over to my next renewal as well?🙂

Not really. The deficit is actually shrinking.

fadedbear92 said:My doctor reached out this morning—he suggested we bump my dose up to 100 mg, or maybe switch me over to either Abilify or Seroquel. He was debating which one would be more budget-friendly, though he mentioned that regardless of the choice, it should help dial down my anxiety during the day—unless, of course, I need to make sure I'm getting solid sleep since I'll be taking it at night.

It’s a bit of a catch-22, isn't it? If you try to force sleep while you're dealing with that constant, restless twitching, you aren't actually getting any real rest. But then, if you don't sleep, you're going to wake up feeling like a complete zombie, with absolutely zero energy to handle the kids the next morning. It's one of those frustrating loops where you can't seem to win.

From what I’ve gathered, people dealing with heavy pill dependencies can be pretty intense. I actually saw someone with a few boxes of Serq just sitting around at their place, and it honestly made me wonder—why wouldn't they just take them? It wasn't until I tried it myself that I really started to get where they were coming from. 😁
Kenneth Scott41 said:well, I suppose she’s got enough seniority to know better... maybe that’s why the pills aren't doing anything for her😁

Well, I suppose that’s one way to put it. It’s like when you finally spot the pattern in a complex piece of sheet music after staring at it for twenty minutes—suddenly, everything just clicks into place. Simple, really. 😁
It’s funny how we all approach these things differently, isn't it? It reminds me of how people handle a long road trip—some people have their entire itinerary mapped out down to the minute, while others just grab a bag and see where the highway takes them. There’s no single "correct" way to navigate the journey; it’s more about what keeps you steady behind the wheel.
Dana Hayes3 said:restlesstrucker15, you’re kidding yourself if you think half of a 25mg dose is going to take you out lol. Besides, I heard fadedbear92 is getting those big orange 100mg tablets now. Just a heads-up: don't take them right before hitting the sack. If you do, you'll wake up feeling like you've been hit by a truck—totally groggy and disoriented. It's better to stay awake for a few hours after taking it just to gauge how it hits you before you finally crawl into bed. 😳Does anyone happen to know what the going rate is for a 100mg Q-pin?

So, it ends up being around $150 or so, but you don't actually have to cough that up if you're covered by health insurance.

fadedbear92 said:Waiting for a text back from my doctor—I took 3 Quetiapine pills last night and only managed about 4 or 5 hours of sleep. That’s definitely not cutting it, so I'm wondering... do I need massive doses now, or is the Effexor just keeping me too wired?🙂🙂🙂

Just got a reply. They want me to take 4 pills—and if that doesn't work, then move up to Seroquel at 100 mg. Ugh, seriously?

So how much have you been taking lately?
And how are you actually feeling physically?

edit: Just realized you're on
25 mg😁. Honestly, what even is that?
You might be better off staying far away from that junk.

Kenneth Scott41 said:I’ve been on Seroquel up until now, but my doctor, Sakoman, just prescribed this Quelapin that neither my sister nor my physician has ever even heard of, so now the pharmacy has to special order it. It feels like a bit of a pointless exercise, I suppose... since it's presumably just the same generic medication under a different name.😕
I guess Sakoman probably knows exactly why he chose that specific Pfizer version of Quelapin, though.

Wait, how? Like, you know I used to take Q-pin. How is this the first time you're hearing about it?

I ended up getting Coaxil, and I've been reading up on it—everything seems pretty straightforward.

What do you guys think about it? Is anyone else here taking it?

Ryan Carter52 said:In my case, it had been barely a year since my accident and about six months since my policy expired, so I went ahead and started over at the standard 100% rate with a different insurance company. The surcharge was still technically there at 150%, but I guess they didn't catch it because I didn't mention my old policy number or my previous license plate.
Maybe just play dumb and tell them you don't have any of your old info anymore if you want to start from scratch.

Well, sure, you can try playing dumb, but when things get audited, every single underwriter is going to check the math. If they find out, you're stuck paying the difference.
Even if they don't catch it via the standard tables, they'll track it down through the VIN in the DMV database, much like how Hanes would flag an error in their records.

Dana Hayes3 said:Wait, does the Q-pin actually cause weight gain? I'm a bit lost here.

Yeah, that’s the consensus. You hear it from patients and doctors alike. For some reason, though, it hasn't happened to me.🤣
