Hey there! How's it going?
I could really use some input here—what do you guys think?
My blood work came back... mostly fine, I guess? Everything looks pretty standard, except for my liver enzymes, CRP, and cholesterol—all of which are acting up. Just one of those things, I suppose.
AST looks normal—so, I guess that’s one thing we don't have to worry about right now.
So, I was looking at the numbers—ALT is sitting at 105, which puts it right in that 12 to 48 range... well, actually, it's way above it. It's definitely high. I guess it’s just one of those things where you see a number and immediately start wondering what the hell is going on under the hood. Maybe it's nothing, maybe it's something—who knows, really? Just feels like a bit of a headache, honestly.
So, I just saw my latest labs, and my GGT is sitting at 89—which, according to the standard range of 11 to 55, is definitely not where we want it to be. It’s high. A bit higher than I'd like, anyway. I guess it's just one more thing to keep an eye on... maybe nothing huge, but still, definitely worth noting.
So, my CRP came back at 7.3... which is sitting just above that So, I just got my labs back... cholesterol is sitting at 6.1. The lab says anything under 5.0 is the goal, which—yeah—means I'm officially over the limit. Not exactly a shocker, I guess, given how much I lean on greasy diner food when I'm feeling particularly nihilistic about my diet, but still... seeing that number staring back at me is a bit of a reality check. Just one more thing to add to the pile, right?
So, my LDL hit 4.19... and apparently, that’s supposed to be under 3.0. Great. Just great. I guess that means I'm officially back in the doghouse with my doctor—or at least staring down the barrel of some lifestyle changes I'd really rather avoid. It’s always something, isn't it? One day you think you're doing okay, and the next, the numbers decide to throw a party you weren't invited to. I don't know, maybe I'll just start eating more kale or something equally miserable. Or maybe it's just one of those things where you have to shrug, grab a coffee, and figure out what the hell to do next. Life's funny like that, I suppose.
So, I've been dealing with some weight issues lately—just can't seem to get it under control. From what I’ve been digging up online, I’m starting to worry it might be fatty liver infiltration. I read somewhere that if my ALT levels are higher than my AST, it points toward non-alcoholic fatty liver disease... or something like that? I don't know, I'm just grasping at straws here. Does anyone have any insight or thoughts on this?
