I am seeking some clarification regarding my lab results from today.
I am in my late twenties and have been on oral contraceptives for approximately five years.
My doctor requested that I have my iron levels checked because she suspected anemia, yet my results indicate quite the opposite.
Iron - 36
UIBC - 28
TIBC - 64
Last week, I had a routine blood panel done at Quest Diagnostics, and everything appeared perfectly normal.
HB - 137
To my eyes, these iron levels seem excessively high; I would greatly appreciate any commentary or advice you might offer.
