Hey...

I've got two questions, and here’s the rundown on my results...
I'm 18, weight's totally normal...
-IgA deficiency... just one more thing to deal with... Diagnosed back when I was a kid, then again five years ago, and now this... happening again in September 2013...
Got diagnosed with EBV mono back in September 2013... though I probably actually caught it in June since I went through two rounds of antibiotics then and felt slightly better...
Checking back on my September labs... ALP was at 103 (range is 67-264)... AST at 64... just great... (ref. 11-38),... ALT at 127... yikes... (ref. 10-33),... GGT at 37... barely even counts... Things are looking up since those results came back in early November... ALP 91 (ref. 67-264), AST 30 (ref. 11-38)... ALT 34... just another number on the page... GGT is sitting at 18 (ref. 10-27)... everything else is in U/L...
Ran an EBV panel back in September... So, turns out my EBV VCA IgG came back positive... great..., Just got my results back... EBV VCA IgG came in slightly positive... EBV IgM is 0.16 and EBV IgG is 1.19, but they didn't even bother to list the units or the reference ranges... typical...
Just checked my CMV panel... both the CMV IgG and CMV IgM came back negative...
The sore throat's back again at the start of December... just what I needed right before the holidays hit... Cephalin... No improvement...
At the end of January, I'm going out on my own dime to get a liver panel done... ALP 82... AST 44... barely makes the cut... (ref. 11-38),... ALT 64... barely even a blip on the radar... GGT came back at 24... slightly over that 10-27 range... just enough to be annoying...
Just some bloodwork... So, EBV VCA IgG came back at 70... definitely feels like my body is fighting something... EIA method, AU/ml... anything 20 or higher is a positive... EBNA IgG came back positive at 30... EIA method... anything 20 or higher is a positive...
All negative on the EBV VCA IgM, EBV EA IgG, CMV IgM, and CMV IgG... nothing there...
Early March: ALP 89 (ref. 67-264), AST 22 (ref. 11-38), ALT 29 (ref. 10-33), GGT 21 (ref. 10-27)...
Serology results coming in late March... Positive EBV VCA IgG at 74... just great... EIA method, AU/ml (positive if >=20)... EBNA IgG came back positive at 41... EIA method, AU/ml... positive if it's 20 or higher...
Everything came back negative on the EBV VCA IgG, EBV panel, and the CMV tests... just more nothing to deal with...
Back in early April, my ALP 82 (ref. 67-264) and AST 30 (ref. 11-38) were looking like this... ALT 45... just another number on the screen... GGT is sitting at 21, just slightly over that 10-27 range... figures...
Got my results from the day before yesterday... ALP 84 (ref. 67-264), AST 26 (ref. 11-38)... ALT 37... just another number on the page... GGT at 18, when the range stops at 27... just another thing on the list...
During that whole stretch, my abdominal ultrasounds came back totally fine. I wasn't even dealing with any major fatigue, just a nagging sore throat...
I'm officially retired from doing anything remotely physical...

My school doctor basically just gave me the shrug. She said she's clueless because my serology isn't showing a new infection, and then she pointed out that my GGT is actually normal when it really should be elevated according to her liver panel... weird, right? She told me to swing by again once the semester wraps up. Anyone here actually know what's going on with this stuff?...

Another thing... my hemoglobin, hematocrit, and MCV are always running high. Every time I get my liver panel done, they run a CBC and a differential too, and it’s always just slightly over the limit... Hemoglobin levels... what a joke... My levels are all over the place... 170 It’s sitting at g/L... when you're looking for that 129-166 range... typical... hematocrit... Got it... 0.521 Kevin Johnson79 (ref.0.390-0.487) a... MCV... Got it... 93.4 My fL is sitting at 76.5 (ref. 76.5-92.1)... I don't smoke, and I've actually been drinking way more water lately just to stay ahead of it. Could this be tied to mono or is it something else entirely...?

Thanks... 🙂
