Hi there!
My two-year-old son recently had an ECG because his temperature hit 38.7; all of his levels came back within the normal range, except for his MCHC, which was 371 (ref: 300-350).
Back when he was 15 months old, he had low Hgb (84) and red blood cell counts, so I gave him 5 mg of divalent iron daily along with Vitamin B12 for four months, after which his complete blood count returned to normal (today's values: erythrocytes: 4.15; Hgb: 120).
Is there any reason to suspect spherocytosis here?
