I recently went in for some routine checkups just because, and I had a full blood panel and urinalysis done. Everything seems pretty much spot on except for a few things:
-Cholesterol: 6.0 (normal is -LDL cholesterol: 4.0 (normal is -MPV: 11.1 (normal range is 6.8-10.4)
-Specific gravity: 1.031 (normal is 1.002 - 1.030)
Does this cholesterol level look concerning enough to warrant starting medication? I did notice my HDL cholesterol is sitting at 1.6 (normal is >1.0)
Also, what's the deal with the MPV, and is that slightly elevated specific gravity in my urine anything to worry about? I'm wondering if there's any connection between them... I'm a 49-year-old guy.
