Maria Fisher46 said:Sir,

Given the details you provided, I recommend scheduling a follow-up lipid panel in six months. This should be paired with strict dietary management, regular exercise, and total smoking cessation.

Thank you very much.

I'll check back in six months once I have the results.

Fix your diet and drop some weight; that should bring your cholesterol numbers down. For a 21-year-old, these levels just aren't acceptable. Are you a smoker? What are your blood pressure readings like?

Thank you.

I was smoking, but I quit the very same day I got these results. I’ve started working out, and my diet is on track now—I'm being careful about what I eat.

I'm about 6'2" and weigh roughly 235 lbs; I'm aiming to get down to around 205 lbs.

My blood pressure is mostly around 120/80.

How long should I wait before getting my labs redone to see where my cholesterol stands?

Thanks again.

I also ran a urinalysis and a full CBC. Not sure if I even need to post those, but everything looks fine. Nothing is even touching the borderline; most values are sitting right in the middle of the reference range.

I'm 21. Did these tests just as a routine check since the last time I had bloodwork done was back in 2013. Just curious to see where things stand. As far as I know, I don't have any other medical issues, though I dealt with some arrhythmia occasionally in the past.

Lately—over the last year—I haven't been watching my diet or staying active. I've gained some weight; went from my ideal 203 lbs up to 242 lbs, currently at about 231 lbs, and I'm trying to bring it down. I started hitting the gym and immediately cut out all the junk. I've gone back to the healthy habits I used to have before COVID hit. Around New Year's, I was eating a lot of jerky; generally, I've always liked eating jerky and eggs.
